The Best Seats for Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium

U.S. Bank Stadium is an indoor stadium in Minneapolis, MI, and home of the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. It’s a gleaming, mirrored stadium with a fixed roof that creates a comfortable, climate-controlled atmosphere while allowing natural light in.

The Vikings are known for their vivid purple and gold uniforms, and their fans are renowned for being some of the most passionate and loyal fans in the NFL. You’ll often hear them clapping their hands and yelling “Skol!”, inspired by fans of the Iceland national soccer team.

Whether you’re a passionate member of the “Purple and Gold” fandom or in town on a visit, U.S. Bank Stadium is a great place to catch a football game. In fact, U.S. Bank Stadium was named the best venue in the NFL in 2023 by The Athletic.

Our guide will help you pick the best US Bank Stadium tickets, whether you’re shopping for standard seats at U.S. Bank Stadium or splashing out on a VIP Vikings experience.

History Of U.S. Bank Stadium

View of the field from the seating at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis.

U.S. Bank Stadium is an indoor stadium in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It’s the home of the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League and is mainly used for NFL football games.

The stadium was built on the site of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, which was home to the Vikings from 1982 until it closed in 2013. Before the Metrodome, the Vikings played at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, MI.

U.S. Bank Stadium has a fixed roof, which shelters fans from the harsh Minnesota winter, but the roof was designed using translucent materials to allow natural sunlight in. Large translucent wall panels also give fans a view of the downtown Minneapolis skyline.

The stadium’s standard maximum seating capacity is 66,860, making it slightly larger than the Metrodome. This seating capacity can be increased to 73,000 for major events and large concerts.

The official opening of U.S. Bank Stadium took place on July 22, 2016. The Vikings’s first game in their new home was a 23-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, then known as the San Diego Chargers.

The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers also play early-season college baseball games at U.S. Bank Stadium. Other major events have been hosted at the stadium including Super Bowl LII in 2018, the 2018 ESPN X Games, and basketball’s NCAA Final Four in 2019. Live music concerts at U.S. Bank Stadium have included performances by Taylor Swift, Metallica, Kenny Chesney, and U2.

Standard Seating at U.S. Bank Stadium

U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.

All three tiers at U.S. Bank Stadium have standard seating sections on the sidelines and at corners and endzones.

The prices shown below are the standard ticket prices quoted on the U.S. Bank Stadium website. You may find cheaper tickets available for preseason games, and tickets may also be available on secondary market websites such as Ticketmaster or StubHub

Map of the Main Concourse and 100/200 Level seating at U.S. Bank Stadium.

100 Level Sideline

Most field-level seating on the sidelines is taken up by premium club sections, and standard seating is only available in sections 105-107 and 111-113.

This means choosing standard seats on the 100 Level Sideline won’t get you close to the 50-yard line. However, they’re still some of the best seats for a Vikings game.

View from section 112 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.

Most sideline sections in the lower bowl at U.S. Bank Stadium have up to 37 rows of seating, with the entrance at the top of the section. Lower rows will give you a long walk to the concourse while sitting in rows 15 and higher will make trips to the concessions and restrooms easier. You’ll also have a better view of the playing field from a more elevated position.

Choose seats on the stadium’s south side if you want to be closer to the Vikings sideline. Sections 126-130 are slightly smaller than most sideline sections, with excellent viewing angles and elevation.

The standard ticket price for seats in these sections is $225-238, depending on their position along the sideline.

100 Level Corner

View from section 103 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.
Image Credit: Anonymous User, A View from my Seat.

Lower deck corner sections at U.S. Bank Stadium are more affordable than sideline seats.

These are the largest sections in U.S. Bank Stadium, with up to 40 rows. There are also up to 60 seats in each row, although an aisle divides the wider rows. The entry tunnels are at the top of the section, but this is also where you’ll find the widest rows in the section. Choosing your location carefully will help avoid difficulty accessing your seat.

Corner sections in the lower bowl are steeply banked, which gives higher rows more elevation and a better view. It also means a steep walk down to seats in lower rows

Choose corner sections 101-103 or 136-138 if you want to be closer to the west end concourse, or sections 114-116 and 122-124 for views of the Minneapolis skyline. Section 121 is located over the Vikings tunnel, while seats in section 138 have a great view of the visiting team emerging from their player tunnel.

Tickets in lower bowl corner sections will cost $162-172.

100 Level Endzone

View from section 119 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.
Image Credit: Anonymous User, A View from my Seat.

The 100 Level End Zone is a great choice if you’re looking for affordable field-level tickets for a Vikings game. These sections have up to 42 rows, with the entry tunnel at the top of the section.

Tickets in the first few rows will seat you close to the action at your end of the field, with a great view of scoring plays. However, you’ll have the longest walk to the concourse from seats in these rows.

Choosing rows higher up will give you a video-game view of the developing game, and the video board at the opposite end of the stadium will keep you in touch with the action there. You’ll also have a shorter walk to restrooms and concessions.

Choose seats in east end sections 118-120 to enjoy views of downtown Minneapolis during the game. The stadium’s west end is a better choice for Vikings fans who want to socialize in the large concourse.

Tickets in 100 Level End Zones will cost $162.

200 Level Sideline

There’s no standard seating at midfield on the Club Level, but 200 Level sideline seats can still give you great angles and elevation at a more affordable price than the Club seats. However, standard seating on the 200 Level won’t include any club access or other perk.

200 Level Sideline sections are smaller than most, with up to 15 rows of seating and the section entrance at row 3. This means all seats are pretty easy to access, but views from the front row may be obstructed by safety glass.

Regular season seats in this area cost $158.

200 Level Corner

View from section 219 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.
Image Credit: Cornfield948, A View from my Seat.

Most standard 200 Level Corner seats are at the stadium’s east end, as the premium Mystic Lake Casino’s Club Purple occupies the northwest corner sections. Sections in the East end corners have good views of the Minneapolis skyline and the west video board. They also offer a better choice of concessions than west corner sections 240-242.

Most of the corner sections on this tier have up to 15 rows of seating. Choosing sections nearer the end zone will give you a good view across and along the field without the uncomfortable viewing angle you can get from sections next to the sideline.

If you choose section 225, avoid the lower rows, as the view here is obstructed by a glass partition.

The standard price for tickets in this area ranges from $127-158, depending on your section.

200 Level End Zone

View from section 223 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.
Image Credit: Boomer, A View from my Seat.

200 Level End Zone tickets are a great option if you want a Club Level view without the premium price tag.

There are only 3 sections in the 200 Level End Zone, each with no more than 18 rows of seating. Sections 222-224 have an excellent head-on view from the stadium’s east end, so there’s no need to turn your head to follow the game.

The large video board keeps you in touch with the action at the opposite end of the field, and you’ll also have a fantastic view of downtown Minneapolis.

Tickets in this area cost $127.

Map of the Upper Concourse and 300 Level seating at U.S. Bank Stadium.

300 Level Sideline

Most 300 Level Sideline sections have 27-34 rows. They’re divided into a small lower area with up to 5 lettered rows and a larger upper area with numbered rows.

Seats in the lower portion of the upper deck will give you excellent views of the field, especially from midfield sections. This makes them an affordable alternative to expensive field-level seats. You’ll also benefit from easy access to the concourse, as the entry tunnel is just behind this lower seating area.

Go higher up in the numbered rows, and you’ll have a longer trip to the restrooms and concessions. Picking seats in rows 5-10 will avoid the longest walks and the viewing obstructions from the safety glass, which affect the lowest-numbered rows.

Your tickets for upper deck sideline sections will cost $106-140, with seats nearer the field costing more than seats further back.

300 Level Corner

View from section 320 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.
Image Credit: Kernel095, A View from my Seat.

Corner sections on the upper tier of U.S. Bank Stadium offer some of the cheapest Vikings tickets, but it’s essential to pick your location carefully.

Choosing corner seats near the east end zone will give you a good view of the Minneapolis skyline. Rows at the front of northeast corner sections will give a better view of the game and a shorter walk to the concourse.

Southwest corner sections like section 350 are some of the smallest sections in the stadium but have a long walk to the concessions and restrooms.

300 Level Corner seats have prices ranging from $97-127.

300 Level End Zone

View from section 325 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota.
Image Credit: NFLTICKETS4U, A View from my Seat.

End zone sections on the upper deck at U.S. Bank Stadium don’t have the best views of the field, but their impressive view of the Minneapolis skyline partly makes up for it.

These sections have 17-21 rows, and some include a small number of lettered rows at the front, nearer the concourse.

Tickets in these sections are the cheapest Vikings tickets, costing $97-106. The combination of head-on views of the game and affordable ticket prices make 300 Level end zone sections a great choice for Vikings fans.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating for visitors with disabilities is available on all tiers of U.S. Bank Stadium.

Public elevators are located throughout the main concourse at sections 103, 114, 124, and 136. Priority is given to guests with disabilities.

Escalators connect all levels of the stadium and can be found in the following locations:

  • 100 Level sections 120-121, 136, and 142-143
  • 300 Level sections 301, 327, and 347
  • Mystic Lake Club Purple, Sukup Club, Vikings Voyage, and Loft Suites

All public restrooms at U.S. Bank Stadium are ADA-accessible, and the Family Restroom at section 114 has an adult changing table.

Restricted View Seating

Avoid the lower rows in section 225, as the view here is obstructed by a glass partition.

Low-numbered rows in 300 Level Sideline sections will have their views obstructed by the safety glass.
