History Of Levi’s Stadium

Levi’s Stadium is an American football stadium in Santa Clara, around 5 miles west of the city of San Jose and 40 miles south of San Francisco. Since 2014, it has been the home of the San Francisco 49ers, who previously played at Candlestick Park. The venue is named after Levi Strauss & Co. which acquired naming rights to the stadium in 2013.

Construction on the 49ers new stadium began in April 2012. Its open seating design provides seating for around two-thirds of the fans in the lower bowl, which is one of the largest in the National Football League. Standard Seating at Levi’s Stadium

Lower Level Sideline 

Lower Level Sideline seats are located in sections 108-112 and 118-122 on either side of the East Field Club seats. They’re also available in sections 132-134 and 142-144 on either side of the Cache Creek Casino Resort Field Club on the stadium’s west side.

These sections have up to 38 rows of seating with entry tunnels located at the top of each section. This gives ticket holders in the first row a long walk to their seats, but on the other hand, they’ll enjoy a fantastic view from midfield.

Lower Level Sideline sections 111-112 and 118-199 are the most expensive standard sections, with tickets costing around $335. However, this is great value compared to the premium club seating next to them. 

If you’re happy to sit further down the east sideline, sections 108-110 and 120-122 cost $255.

Over on the west side of the stadium, you’ll pay $300 for tickets in sections 134 and 142 and the front rows of sections 132-133 and 143-144. The remaining rows in sections 132-133 and 143-144 have an average ticket price of $265.

Lower Level Corner 

Lower Level Corner seating is located on the lowest seating tier at Levi’s Stadium, in sections 106-107 and 123-124 on the east side or 130-131 and 145-146 on the west side. 

These are large sections with up to 36 rows of seating. The entry tunnel to the concourse is at the top of the section, so you’ll have a long walk to and from seats in the front rows. However, these seats give a great view of the ball as it approaches the goal line, making them an excellent choice for a fun atmosphere and a unique view of the game. 

Corner sections on the west side will see shade earlier than those on the east side. 

Average ticket prices are around $230 for sections 106, 124, 130, and 146, or $265 for sections 131 and 145. 

Lower Level End Zone 

Lower Level seats are located behind both end zones in sections 101-105 at the north and sections 125-129 at the south of the field. These locations let you watch the game without turning your head, and you’ll be in close proximity to field goal celebrations at your end of the field. The large video board keeps you in touch with the action at the far end of the field.

These are large sections with 36-38 rows of seating. The tunnels leading to the concourse are at the top of each section, so choose higher row numbers to avoid a long walk to your seat. 

Seats in section 101 are close to the visitor’s tunnel, while section 105 gives 49ers fans a good view as their team comes out of the home team’s tunnel. 

These seats have an average price of $230.

Mid Level Corner 

Mid Level Corner standard seating is located on the second tier in sections 207-211 and 221-225 of the stadium’s east side. There are 23 numbered rows of seating in each section, and seats in these sections cost $210.

Mid Level Corner sections on the west side are located in sections P232-P235 and P242-P245. Although these seats don’t provide club amenities, they have preferred positions, which make them more expensive at $465. 

These sections provide a good view over most of the field, especially the goal line at your end of the field. 

Mid Level End Zone 

Mid Level End Zone seating is available at both ends of the second seating tier at Levi’s Stadium. These sections have an elevated position that gives an excellent view down the field. 

Mid Level End Zone sections have 23 rows of seating. The entry tunnels are positioned at row 3, so fans with seats at the back of the sections will have a reasonably long walk to the concourse. 

Tickets in Mid Level End Zone sections cost around $185 on average.

Mid Level Sideline sections are all taken up by premium club seating. 

Loge Level Sideline 

Loge Level seating is located in sections at the front of the third seating tier of Levi’s Stadium. Standard seating is only available on the east side of the stadium, as premium seating takes up all of the west side above the second tier. 

Loge Level Sideline sections 312-317 run along the visitor’s sideline and each has just 6 or 7 rows of seats. This area is a good choice for fans who prioritize easy access to their seats.

This elevated location is an affordable option for midfield seats, with tickets costing around $200. 

Loge Level Corner 

Loge Level Corner seating covers sections 306-311 in the northeast corner and sections 318-323 in the southeast corner of Levi’s Stadium.

You’ll get an exciting view of the game as it develops across the field and from end to end. These sections also have just 6 or 7 rows, offering quick access to the upper-level concourse for restrooms and concessions. 

Tickets in this area will cost around $165. 

Loge Level End Zone 

The Loge Level end zone contains the highest and furthest end zone seats from the field in sections 301-305 and 324-328. Like the other Loge Level seating, there are just 6 or 7 rows in each section, making visiting the concourse easy. 

Loge Level end zone seats offer a great head-on view of the game, but you’ll struggle to see details when the ball is at the opposite end of the field. Luckily, you’ll also have some of the best views of the videoboard above the opposite end zone.

Upper Level Sideline 

The Upper Level is above the Loge Level, and standard seating is only available on the east side. The upper deck doesn’t provide the best seat views at a 49ers game, but it offers some of the cheapest tickets at Levi’s Stadium.  

Seats in sections 409-414 on the Upper Level Sideline have a midfield viewing angle. This makes them a popular choice for football fans seeking a good view of the game at an affordable price.

Upper Level Corner 

Sections in the Upper Level Corner are the highest seats in Levis Stadium and the furthest from the field. There are 28 rows of seating in each section and the entry tunnel is at row 1, so choose lower rows for better views and easier access to your seats. 

Upper Level corner sections are only available on the stadium’s east side and get more sun than any other seating area.

Accessible Seating

25 elevators and 38 escalators provide easy access between the levels of the stadium. Priority access to elevators is given to ticket holders with accessibility needs.

Levi’s Stadium has an open layout with few overhangs, which means very few seats have an obstructed view. Rows towards the back of the Lower Level and Mid Level may have some obstruction from the deck above.

Prepaid accessible parking is available in Red Lot 1. Visitors must have a valid DMV-issued Disabled Person Placard or License Plate and a prepaid pass for any parking lot at Levi’s Stadium.

Arriving by Public Transportation

Ridesharing arrangements

The rideshare drop-off point for Levi’s Stadium is located along the bus stop south of Great America Parkway. A rideshare pick-up point will be in Red Lot 7 after the end of the game.

Contactless Entry

Levi’s Stadium uses the official San Francisco 49ers app for contactless entry to the stadium and seating area.

The San Francisco 49ers mobile app is available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. It allows you to manage your tickets and keep up to date with team news and exclusive content. 

To avoid delay at the stadium entry gates, ensure that all adults have their tickets loaded on their own cell phones and make their ticket barcodes visible for inspection. Screenshots or printed copies will not be accepted. 

Reverse ATMs

Levi’s Stadium is a cashless stadium. Payments for all purchases can be made by credit/debit card or via mobile apps such as Google Wallet and Apple Pay.

Reverse ATMs can be found at Toyota Gate F, section C117 on the main concourse, section 308 on the upper concourse, and in the United Club. These will convert up to $500 cash into a prepaid debit card. 

There are no regular ATMs at Levi’s Stadium.

Bag Policy

Levi’s Stadium has a clear bag policy in line with other NFL stadiums. The following bags are allowed inside the stadium:

• Approved clear bags measuring no more than 12” x 6” x 12”, including clear purses, backpacks, and fanny packs
• Small clutch bags measuring no more than 4.5” x 5”
• Clear plastic ziplock-type bags holding no more than 1 gallon

You can bring sealed plastic bottles of water into the stadium, and food may be brought in as long as it’s stored in clear plastic bags or wrappings. Fruit must be cut into smaller pieces. 

If you visit Levi’s Stadium with a child, diaper bags are permitted but will be searched and tagged. 

Approved bags will be inspected upon entry and may be inspected inside the stadium. All other bags are prohibited, and you can see a full list of prohibited items on the stadium website.

Tailgating

Tailgating is permitted until the scheduled kickoff time and only in specific areas. You can find this information on the Levi’s Stadium parking map. 

Your equipment must be placed within the lined parking space and must not block the parking lanes. 

Season ticket holders parking in lots Blue 1 and Green 1 can obtain an Early Entry Tailgate pass allowing access to the parking lot 60 minutes before gates open. 

If you want to tailgate with other drivers, it’s essential to meet up with your party at a location outside the stadium and travel together into the parking lot. You won’t be able to reserve parking spaces next to your car.
