The Best Seats for the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium
If you’re visiting St. Louis, Missouri, or a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, visiting Busch Stadium is a must.
This Major League Baseball stadium in downtown St. Louis is known for its friendly atmosphere, great family-friendly facilities, and excellent seating to suit all budgets.
There are also some fantastic options for all-inclusive seats, ideal for making the most of game day with friends or family.
So, if you’re planning a visit to watch a Cards game, you’ll want to make sure you pick the best seats. Our guide to Busch Stadium is designed to help you choose the best standard or premium St. Louis Cardinals tickets.
A Primer on Busch Stadium

Also known informally as “New Busch Stadium” or “Busch Stadium III,” Busch Stadium is the third stadium to carry that name in St. Louis, Missouri. It has a maximum capacity of 44,158.
The first Busch Stadium was originally called Sportsman’s Park and was renamed in 1953. That building was replaced by the Busch Memorial Stadium in 1966.
Finally, on April 10, 2006, the new Busch Stadium ballpark opened with a 6-4 win against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals became the first team in nearly a century to win a World Series Championship in their new stadium’s first season, and in July 2009, Busch Stadium was host to the 80th MLB All-Star Game.
Standard Seating at Busch Stadium

Field Level Infield

The sections directly behind the dugouts are known as Diamond Box seats. Choose sections 141-144 on the first base side to sit behind the Cardinals dugout or sections 156-159 on the third base side for visiting fans.
These are the most expensive standard seats, starting around $100 or $165 for Row 1 tickets.
Also known as Infield Field Box Seats, Home Field Box sections 145-155 are located behind home plate, giving you a view that’s almost as good as the premium Cardinal Club. These sections start at $75, with front-row seats starting around $100.
Infield seats down the left field and right field lines are angled towards home plate, giving a more comfortable view of the infield.
Sections 132-139 and 161-166 are known as the Dugout Boxes and offer a chance of catching a foul ball. Fans at Busch Stadium can keep any foul ball or home run ball hit into the stands.
Infield Field Box tickets cost as little as $60, or you can pay from $94 for Row 1 tickets. Dugout Boxes cost a little more.
Field Level Outfield

Field Level Outfield seats stretch between the corner bases and to the corners of the outfield walls. The lower rows in each section get you close to the field, while the higher rows are sheltered by the 200 level overhang.
Sections 127-140 are on the first base side of the stadium, and the higher-numbered sections will get you closer to the Cardinals dugout.
Dugout Box seats are closest to the field, followed by 1st Base Field Box on the first base side, and Right Field Box closer to right field. Pick sections 127-129 for a chance of catching a home run ball.
Over on the left field side, sections 160-172 are closer to third base, and you should pick the lower numbered sections if you want to be close to the visitor’s dugout. Here, Dugout Box seats will get you closest to the field, followed by 3rd Base Field Box and Left Field Box.
Outfield sections 164-166 give a great view of the outfield, almost like you’re on the field with the players. Sections 170-172 are behind the left field wall and sitting here offers a chance of catching a home run ball.
Just above these sections, the Left Field Porch offers some of the best shade at Busch Stadium.
Right/Left Field Box tickets can cost as little as £25.
Club Level

Redbird Club Level sections 241-257 have some of the best standard seating at Busch Stadium.
These sections sit just above the stadium’s lower level and provide club-style, unobstructed views of the field, scoreboard, and arch. You don’t benefit from the clubs’ premium amenities but can access an indoor club area with pay-as-you-go concessions.
Prices here start from $56 for infield seats and around $100 for Home Redbird Club Row 1 seats.
Loge Seats

Loge seats are available on the 200 level at right field and left field.
Sections 235-240 are referred to as 1st Base Loge, and sections 228-234 are known as Right Field Loge. Sections 228-229 are in fair territory, but it’s rare for home run balls to reach these seats.
On the left field side, sections 261-265 are called 3rd Base Loge, while the Left Field Loge covers sections 267-272.
These seats have the same great view as the Club level seating but don’t have access to any club amenities. They’re an excellent middle-ground seating option, starting from $12 for Right/Left Field Loge and $36 for 1st and 3rd Base Loge.
Infield Pavilion
Pavilion Level seating at Busch Stadium covers the sections on the 300 level. Infield Pavilion covers sections 341-360 along the infield, and will give you similar views to the Redbird Club but without the premium amenities or price tag.
Although the view here is better than Terrace Level seating, these seats get a lot of sun and can be uncomfortable on summer days.
Avoid the first two rows on the 300 level, as the railing will obstruct your view. Choose rows 3-5 for a clear sightline.
Tickets in this seating area start around $25.
Home Pavilion

Home Pavilion seating covers sections 347-353 behind home plate. This area has the best views on the Pavilion Level and is directly in front of a large food and drink terrace.
Tickets here start from around $30 or $46 for Row 1 seats.
Outfield Pavilion
Pavilion Outfield seating is located on the upper deck of Busch Stadium between the corner bases and outfield walls.
This is the highest level of seating on the left field side. There’s very little shade here, with just a small roof overhanging the back rows.
On the right field side, the Pavilion seating sits below the Terrace Level sections and has even less shade.
You can pay as little as $11 for a seat in this area.
Infield Terrace

Terrace Level Infield seating is the furthest from the field and gets a lot of sun exposure with very little shade.
Prices start from just $9, making them a very affordable way to catch a Cardinals game, and you do get a good view of the scoreboard and St. Louis Arch. However, you might feel it’s worth paying a little extra to get closer to the field.
Outfield Terrace Seating
Terrace Level Outfield sections are only available on the right field side of Busch Stadium.
There are three distinct areas: First Base Terrace covers sections 435-440 and is closer to the infield than the Right Field Terrace sections 431-434. Home Terrace is in between these two areas.
Terrace Outfield seating has very little shade except in the last few rows, so remember to take sunscreen and sunglasses.
You can spend as little as $8 for Outfield Terrace tickets, with Home Terrace tickets costing a little more.
The Budweiser Terrace covers sections 328-330 and 428-430. It features lounge seating, standing areas, two full-service bars, and a performance stage for live events. Entry is open to all Busch Stadium ticket holders on a first-come-first-served basis, so arrive early to secure your spot.
Bleacher Seats

The outfield Bleacher seating at Busch Stadium covers the odd-numbered sections 101-11 in right field and 189-197 in left field. Choose sections 107-109 to be close to the Cardinals bullpen and left field sections 189-191 for a view of the visitor’s bullpen.
These sections have metal bench-style seats with back supports but no armrests. They’re a great option for catching a home run, especially in the corner sections. However, they have the least shade in the stadium, and you’ll be in full sun for most of the day, so the seats get very hot.
Prices start from as little as $12 up to $52 for front-row seats.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating is available on all levels at Busch Stadium. Guests purchasing a ticket for accessible seating can also purchase up to three adjacent companion seats.
Accessible seating is available near elevators, ramps, and electrical outlets for personal mobility devices.
Escalators connecting the levels are available at first base, home plate, and third base. Elevators are available in the following locations:
- Family Pavilion
- Between Gate 6 and the East Ramp on the Broadway side of the stadium
- Gate 2 (8th Street)
- Gate 3
All gates and all public restrooms are accessible. Disabled guests may also use family restrooms.
Standing Room Only
Standing-room-only tickets are ideal if you’re looking for a great value way to experience the atmosphere of a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium.
The Standing Room Only section is located close to the right field foul pole down the first base line. Although it’s close to the All-Inclusive areas, you won’t have access to any all-inclusive facilities.
However, these tickets give you general admission to the ballpark, and you can stand in any area that doesn’t obstruct the view of seated fans. The Ballpark Pass gives you standing-room access to all regular season games for $39.99 per month.

You might like to check out the Budweiser Terrace on the stadium’s fourth level. Seating and standing spots are available to all ticket holders on a first-come-first-served basis, and there are also bars, concessions, and a live music performance area.
Another option outside the stadium is the Brew House Bud Deck on the third floor of Budweiser Brew House. This is a nice place to enjoy all the fun of the ballgame with a ballpark-themed menu, multiple bars, and a live in-game audio/video feed. The best deal for Brew House tickets starts from as little as $10.

Which Seats Are Shaded At Busch Stadium?
Busch Stadium is known as one of the hottest MLB Venues, and the temperature can soar above 100°F during July and August.
The lower bowl won’t see any shade until late afternoon, but seats further back will get shade much earlier. Some of the best spots include the back portions of sections 128-140 and 160-167, which are shaded by the 200-level overhang.
Other good options include Infield Club sections 240-260, seats in the Left Field Porch, and the last few rows of Loge seating.
The top rows of the upper level are under the stadium roof, so they’ll offer shaded seating at an affordable price.
Avoid right field and seats on the first base side which get more sun. The outfield bleacher seats have little or no shade, and their metal seats get very hot in the sun.
Where Should Visitors Sit At Busch Stadium?
The visitors’ dugout is in front of Diamond Box sections 156-159, and row D is directly behind the players. Rows D-L will give you a good view of your favorite players and the game.
If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative, 189-193 in the left field bleachers will give you a view of the visiting pitchers warming up.
