Outfield Reserve sections 300-304 and 328-332 make up the rest of the upper deck at Chase Field. 

300-304 and 328-332 also have a pretty good view of the scoreboard at center field, but these seats are far from home plate. If a great view of the action is your top priority, you’ll want to avoid these seats.

Which Seats Are Shaded At Chase Field?

Arizona summer temperatures frequently rise above 100°F, so the Chase Field roof is usually only open for MLB Diamondbacks games in the spring and fall. 

When the roof is open, you’ll find more shade behind home plate, along the 3rd base line, and in rows beneath an overhang. 

Most seats will be in the sun for the early innings of baseball games that start in the early afternoon. Seats in sections 314-318 and 328-332 enjoy some shade from permanent structures, and as the sun dips behind 3rd base, seats on that side will gradually receive some shade. 

For games starting later in the day, any section on the 3rd base side will have shade from early on. Seats along the first base line generally see more sun, and the right field corner sees sun for the longest.

When the roof is closed, most seats are in shade. Some evening sun may get in through the large windows at left field, but it’s unlikely to spoil your game.

Transportation And Parking At An Arizona Diamondbacks Home Game

Chase Field is located at 401 E Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85004, United States.

Its downtown Phoenix location is easily reached via major highways, including I-10 and I-17.

Parking At Chase Field

Chase Field has 1500 spaces in a parking garage just south of the ballpark on 4th Street. This includes 31 ADA parking spaces for vehicles displaying a valid disabled plate or placard, and all spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis. 

Further parking garages and parking lots are available in the area surrounding the stadium. These include Jefferson Street Garage and Jackson Street East (uncovered) or Diamondback Right Field Garage and Diamondback Right Field Lot (covered).

Some parking garages and lots around Chase Field only accept credit cards, while others only accept cash. It’s best to be prepared for both options. 

Tailgating is prohibited in the parking garages and lots at Chase Field. Some local operators may allow tailgating, but check before you travel.

Arriving By Public Transportation

Westbound Valley Metro Light Rail trains run every 15-20 minutes to Washington/3rd Street station and Jefferson/3rd Street station, within a short walk of Chase Field.

When To Arrive For An Arizona Diamondbacks Game

Chase Field has 8 main gates lettered A-F, J, and K. These open 90 minutes before the scheduled start of games on Sunday-Thursday and 2 hours before first pitch on Friday and Saturday.

Gates B and J open 30 minutes earlier on Fridays and Saturdays for fans with Advantage membership. 

Bag Policy At Chase Field

Chase Field has a clear bag policy that requires all bags to be made of clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”. Alternatively, you can bring a 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bag, such as a Ziploc bag.

Blankets and seat cushions without zippers or pockets can also be carried into the stadium. Parenting bags must be no larger than 11” x 11” x 15” and will be searched before being admitted to the stadium.
